and mineral origin and their constituents and thereby provides a vital
link between ayurvedic and allopathic system of medicine.
- Provides the sound knowledge of plant taxonomy, plant breeding,
plant pathology and plant genetics which is helpful in development
of cultivation techniques for medicinal and aromatic plants.

- Meant to familiarize students about various plant families with
charts and photographs of crude drug for morphological studies.
- Enriched with specimen of various medicinal plants.
- Concerns with chromatographic techniques like Thin layer chromatography
(TLC) and Paper chromatography (PC) for the identification of
phytoconstituents
- Includes quantitative microscopy.
